This week the girls are on mid-winter break, so I booked a new vacation rental in our same town for a few nights. It’s called The Abode at Cedar River.
The house we stayed at was just recently redone and is absolutely gorgeous inside! However most of the time we spent looking outside because it was right on the Cedar River and had such amazing views. It’s a log house with a green roof and is the perfect house for this area.
I have total house envy. It’s a rambler and just a few hundred square feet bigger than our current house. I wonder if they would mind if I just moved a few things over there and stayed……forever?
I’m glad we could get away and it’s also nice to know of a close by rental for when family comes up and visits occasionally. ❤
We didn’t really do anything different than we would have at home, but I really needed something to look forward to and I’m glad we got away.
So that’s what we’ve been up to the past few days. It’s nice to have something different to write about. I’ll write another blog post on how I’m feeling and how the medication is working. But for now, enjoy the view!
UPDATE: This is our first time coming home to a dog. Everyone was so excited to see him and he was very happy to see us as well. It was so cute to see our family reunited. Thanks Annika for taking such good care of him while we were gone!
Yay for time away! Glad you could do it.
What a beautiful getaway and so close!
So thankful you got to be together in a different setting ❤️
What a wonderful thing to do and get away for a short time.
You’re making wonderful memories! Love the idea of dancing with a cane. Did she have a top hat too?
How wonderful you were able to get away and spend some time with your loves in a scenic area. I’m sure it was so good for your soul. Praising God that you continue to keep fighting and keep taking good care of yourself. In my prayers always, Bonnie
So wonderful that you had…and took…the opportunity! I’m sure it’s a time that will hold a special place in your hearts and minds!!!….(and the is BEAUTIFUL!!!…my bags are packed!!!)
