I am scheduled to have surgery on Friday at 1 pm, with an 11 am check-in time. Praise God that the insurance approved it and that I got on the surgeon’s calendar so quickly!
In preparation for that, I have the privilege of getting a COIV-19 test tomorrow. That should be fun. I also have a nurse pre-op call on Wednesday to go over medications for the anesthesiologist. (I will be all the way put to sleep for surgery, which I am thankful for.
Please pray that the week will go smoothly and for Tom and the girls as this affects them as well. Please also pray that the surgery will strengthen my back and that some if not all the pain will be alleviated.

Jen, I’m thankful you were able to get the surgery approved. I’m praying there will be no complications with surgery and that you’ll feel relief from the pain quickly. Dear Lord, Please guide the surgeon’s hands. Give him wisdom to know how best to proceed with Jen’s care. Father, please allow him to see clearly and even see anything that might not have already appeared on the recent MRI. If there is anything else that needs attention, Lord, we pray you would prompt the doctor to take swift action. Make Jennifer wake from surgery without any nausea and may you give her your perfect peace as she awaits the surgery. We thank you for Jennifer’s life and we praise you for how you are guiding each and every step of her care. May you receive all the praise and glory for the outcome. Thank God for answered prayer. Jennifer, I’m so happy for you. I looked up the surgery your doctor recommended and learned a lot. How wonderful that they will be able to “glue” your problem bones giving them strength, that will diminish your pain. You and your family are in my prayers daily. Praise God for His love and eternal grace.
