Haha! What a great excuse to not help with the cooking or dishes on Thanksgiving!! Surgery!
I didn’t do much on Thanksgiving, but the day after we did decorate for Christmas, I did some laundry and even unloaded the dishwasher. (SHHH! Don’t tell the Dr.) Then on Saturday we walked around Seattle looking at Christmas things all day. Clearly I am doing a great job of resting after surgery. Hey – I rested for one day, right?? (And I am resting today – no gym and I’ve been sitting on the sofa for a lot of the day!)
While recovery from surgery has been as uneventful as the surgery itself, my breast is pretty much one big bruise now…lovely. It’s not really painful, but yet not feeling totally normal either. I meet with the plastic surgeon tomorrow for my post surgery follow-up appointment.
The 4 days Tom and the girls were off were just lovely. Everyone, while hyper at times, was pleasant to be around and we enjoyed time as a family. This is not something I can always say, but both Tom and I noticed what a nice weekend it was as a family.
On Wednesday, I have my bone strengthening infusion, but then I should be off from all appointments for the month of December! Merry Christmas to me! 🙂
I’m sure I will still have something to write about, because I know you’ll miss reading my posts…
