I am losing my patience – how long does it take to figure out the correct dosage of pain medicine? Apparently longer than I thought!
I went up to 1 100 microgram patch and 3 25 microgram patches. That is still not enough so I am going up to 2 100 microgram patches. It will be great when we get this figured out. I just really want it to be soon! You know how much I love to be in pain…..
If you don’t want to read about bowel movements you can just stop reading now….
My trial taking half the constipation medicine in the morning and half at night did not work. There were no side effects, but also no bowel movements. Strange.
So I decided to try a full pill again. Today is my third day of the full pill. I guess my body has gotten used to the medication because I’m not having lots of sweating and freezing chills at the same time. That is great! Unfortunately, I am not having any bowel movements. I have taken one glass of Miralax the past two days and two glasses of Miralax today. Still not much!
So tonight I step it up with a suppository on top of the pill and Miralax. When everything gets moving again, I will have to take as much Miralax or calcium citrate, along with the pill, as I need to, keep things moving. I’ll keep you posted….because I’m sure you all really want to know when I poop.
Oh my! Who would have ever thought I will get this comfortable talking about pooping, let alone writing about it for my friends, family, pastor (hi John), and total strangers to read. I just try not to think about who is reading this!

I sure wish we had been able to read something like this when Alpha was having these problems. Yes I have somewhat of a understanding. I am praying for you and especially your husband.

Actually, having Celiac Disease I longed to stop pooping and would celebrate when “logs” floated in the potty. I understand the frustration of not getting things going. Still praying for a good poop and more to come.
Praying for the right combination so things will function well, it’s important and worth sharing so we can pray with you!
