I have no idea if you can technically rebrand yourself, but every time I go online and see pictures of myself, they don’t look like me.
It’s just another reminder of the hard journey I’m on.
Cancer has changed so many things. The most obvious one being my hair. Where it used to be longer than my shoulders and light brown, it’s now very short and dark brown. I look so different!
I felt like I needed to be rebranded.
It was time for some updated family photos!
A few months ago I discovered Magic Hour, a non-profit organization that pairs cancer patients with local photographers. We were paired with Katie Kolbrick and a few weeks ago, met at a local park to take some pictures. She did an AMAZING job of capturing each of our personalities. We just love how the pictures turned out and I am so very thankful to have some updated pictures of our family!
I’m looking forward to having some framed and of course updating my blogs and social media accounts with the new me!
Here are just a few of my favorites…
These are beautiful! Thank you for sharing them. Love You!!!
Jennifer, the pictures are so beautiful. I can’t believe how lovely and grown up the girls are. My goodness! You and Tom look amazing…just lovely:)
Such priceless pictures of you and your family, how can you even choose which to frame? Personally, I think you need one whole wall covered in them. Your wall of hope, trust and answered prayer. You’ve come through this together and are all changed because of what you’ve shared. His love and grace shines in each face before me. Let everyone who steps into your home see what I see. It will change them forever. May God bless you and your beautiful family always.
Oh Jennifer, they are all beautiful. You’ve all been on such a tough journey this last year, and I know it still continues even now. These pictures show the love and strength you all have as a family. Thank you for sharing them. You are in my prayers daily. Much love!

Have you ever heard of this company? The idea of what they do, reminds me so much of you and your beloved sessions!

Hello Small Family! Just returned from month long trip and what do my eyes behold but a BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY AND HAPPY FAMILY!!! Praise the Lord for this happy day and happy family! Your pictures truly put a smile on my face. They are SUPER! Getting new pictures was a great idea. Hopefully they give you reason to believe there will be many happy family days ahead. May the Lord continue to bless you all. I am sick right now but will be in touch soon. I want to hug each one of you!
Jennifer, it’s so nice to see your beautiful family photos and to hear how you’re moving forward. I love seeing that in every circumstance, God has met your needs and continues to do so through the loving people He’s placed in your life. Continued prayers for your journey. You look great!!
Great pictures. Can’t wait to get copies.
The pictures are awesome!! You look beautiful and healthy!! Prayers for continued health and recovery!! HUGS!! Karen
Such priceless pics! I see a family, come through a storm, stronger, together and individually, as you (Jennifer) were the one who went through the physical part, but the whole family weathered it with you. Such great pics that capture that “side” of this journey!! And though you still wear the label of metastatic cancer (as in still on the journey)…you all are wearing it together – this is what I see in these pics ♥ absolutely love these pics!! And, I’m with you…new hair, what?? but, again, I see it as the new “normal” (now, if I can just get this cowlick to behave!!) ♥
These images are priceless. It is so evident that joy spills forth, and that God has sustained you through this hard journey. I believe He will continue to do so. Your family is beautiful.
Such wonderful photos!! Our LORD has blessed you all!.
Wow! Beautiful pictures of a lovely family. Everyone looks so happy. Thank you for sharing them. Jan
