A few months ago I asked for suggestions about neuropathy from personal experience or from your cousin’s brother’s sister’s best friend’s aunt, twice removed who went down to Mexico and tried something that worked. But seriously….I was desperate. I added all the suggestions to my ever growing list and slowly began trying them. None of them worked. 🙁
Then one day an ad for Protalus insoles started showing up on both Facebook and Instagram. They have a 90 day money back guarantee and some people said that they worked for their neuropathy, while some said they did not. With nothing to lose, I bought a pair.
Putting aside the fact I feel like an old lady who has to wear insoles, I feel so much better! I don’t know that they will be a forever fix, but for now, that is the only thing I have changed and the neuropathy is 95% gone.
I had never even heard of neuropathy until a few years ago, yet so many people suffer with it every day and are unsuccessful in finding something that works. Below is a link to my list of ideas of what did and didn’t work for me, and some more information about the insoles. Everyone is different and maybe the insoles or something else on the list will work for you or someone you know. I’m just passing it on for you to do with as you wish.

I have been suffering from chemo-induced neuropathy. It is painful, as you have indicated. It is discouraging to wake up everyday with no relief, whatsoever, from this ongoing pain/issue. My “kick cancer in the ass” attitude is slowing dissipating. At your suggestion, I ordered 2 pr of inserts from Protalus. I just received them yesterday. I got the T75 and the T100. We’ll see how things go…..
Good luck to you…thanks for your blog…
Oh I’m so sorry Cindi. I hope the insoles work for you. If not, I pray you will find another solution. I know waking up with no relief from the pain is so hard each morning!!
I’m just seeing this comment again…did the insoles help? 🙂
What I’ve found to be associated with my neuropathy, is after suffered with severe foot pain associated with planter faciatus. I was soaking my feet every night. I came to realize my nails were ingrown and had grown up under the skin. Some of my
Nail beds had split and were under skin. I cut as much of the ingrowns as I could. Did our as much as I could and went to see a poditrist. I’m having all 10 toe nails sides cut Off and the procedure to remove the Sides of my nails removed. I know I still have nail matter under the skin. I’m grateful I found an awesome poditrist. The first one I went to was less than supportive. I kept persisting until I found this man. I almost cried when he confirmed what I thought was happening. I go in the 21st. Trying to use my benifits before Jan 1 and we restart a new deductible. Good news is insurance didn’t go up this year….bad need is our deductible doubled per person. . Off for my first Zometta infusion. Back is healing. Only
Ibuprofen is needed every day.
I have never even heard of that happening! I’m glad you found a podiatrist who can help!! I hope your zometa infusion went well. 🙂
