It’s Christmas Eve! The girls slept late (which I’m sure will not happen tomorrow morning) and we are enjoying a lazy morning/day around the house. There is a light dusting of snow on the ground which makes everything look beautiful!
Tonight we’ll go to the Christmas Eve service at church and grab some hot chocolate from Starbucks as we drive around and look at Christmas lights.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours. I pray it will be a wonderful couple days as you spend time with family and friends and as you celebrate the birth of our Savior.

In other news . . .
Yesterday’s infusion took longer than expected as my port did not work the first time. It took about an hour for it to work, then we had to wait for lab results, then pre-meds, then finally the chemo, which only took an hour. The nurse ran the Paclitaxel in twice as fast since I didn’t have any reactions last time. I also skipped one of the pre-chemo drugs (lorazepam) and so I wasn’t as tired this time.
Just the pre-meds – Pepcid, Benadryl, Dexamethasone and Zofran
First chemo without hair/wig. I’m obviously very into whatever I’m looking at on the computer!!
I’m feeling good this morning. Some fatigue, but not too bad so far.

Praise God you’ve had minimal side effects and have been able to enjoy your family this week. Your cancer experience reminds me to let the little things go, to enjoy the fleeting moments and to cherish God’s blessings every day. Merry Christmas, dear Jennifer!

Jennifer, Glad you had an easier time with less reaction to your chemo! Sorry you had trouble with your port again! I hope you were able to enjoy Christmas with your family. I haven’t been able to read your posts till now. Someone took a Verizon pole out on Tuesday and we had no phone, TV, or internet until a kind worker came out and fixed it on Christmas!! Do hope these rounds of chemo prove to be a positive result for you!! I keep you in my thoughts and prayers daily!! (I think the hat suits you. You look attractive without the wig too!!) This round has been a little harder than the first with some achiness and pain, but it’s still better than the previous medicine! Glad to hear your internet is back up and how nice that someone came to fix it on Christmas day! 🙂 Happy New Year Karen!
