Yes, you read that right.
The picture below is the bottom of my chest tube. The procedure to insert the chest tube was pretty uncomfortable, but it’s already working, so it was worth it!

It’s a one way valve and it’s job is to get the air out of the area around my lung. Hopefully my lungs will continue to push air out over night. I go home with it tonight. We will come back tomorrow morning for another x-ray and if everything looks good, they will take the tube out and I will go home tube free. If there is more air, it will stay in and I will go home and come back the next day.
What a couple days it has been! My mama heart is hurting so much for our girls. I hate this so much. I know God’s plan is always perfect, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy!
Right now we are ok with meals and the girls do not want anyone there when we are gone. I know those are obvious ways to help and that is how I would want to help a friend. But we are ok in those areas right now. Thank you for wanting to help!
The most helpful thing you can do is pray. Thanks friends and family.
Always praying for you and your family Jennifer❤
Continuing to pray for your needs and your family. Grateful for such amazing medical team which is there for you always.
On a lighter thought- you may have a tube in your chest, but you haven’t “lost your marbles”!!
So true! (I think!)

Praying for you!!
I hate this for you! I’m glad they could do something to help you, but I hate that you are having so many scary and painful events lately. Continually praying for strength, wisdom, peace and pain-free rest. We love you, Jennifer!
So glad you are getting to go home and the air is getting out. I continuing to pray for you and especially the girls.
Praying that the air comes out while you sleep so you can breathe easier. Praying for peace & comfort your heart is aching for your girls. Praying for comfort for your family as Jesus carries you through this battle. I heard the song “Jesus Loves You More” yesterday for the 1st time & it reminded me how much more Jesus loves & cares for those we love.
Can you give me a link to that song Lisa? There are a bunch with that in the title and I’d love to listen to it.
Praying for you and your family.
Praying continually for you and your precious family! May He be the strong right arm that daily holds you up in your time of great need❤️
