I have not posted in a while, because Praise the Lord, I am feeling great! I would even venture to say I’m back to feeling as good as I did before my stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis.

On Wednesday we got home from a 2 week vacation to Southern, California.  We had a great time visiting family and friends.  We also enjoyed a few days at Disneyland and California Adventure.  I walked over 25,000 steps three times on vacation a few weeks ago. (It’s crazy how many miles you walk when you go to Disneyland!!)  I am so thankful for a body that allowed me to do that.  I was pretty tired the days after, but survived and had a great time with our family!

While I don’t think about cancer all the time any more, Dr. appointments sure bring it to mind! I have 2 Dr. appointments on Friday (check-up with my oncologist and check-up with my plastic surgeon), and a bone strengthening infusion on Wednesday.

Last time, the infusion hit me really hard and this is a very busy week, so I don’t have time to down. Please pray my body responds better to it this time. At my infusion, we’ll also be checking my blood (cancer antigen 27-29). If that number is elevated, that is a sign the cancer might be back. Please pray that number stays down and that I will not be anxious about the appointments this week.

Also, 2 of our girls are pretty sick.  Please pray their bad colds and breathing issues go away quickly and that Tom and our middle daughter stay healthy.  (I had it last week.)

Thanks for praying with me.  Happy New Year!
