Happy New Year everyone. I hope you have all gotten back into your routines with work and school or whatever you do during the day. The girls started school up again today and Tom went back to work in the garage. I went to chemo and then came home and rested.

We had originally planned to go to California and see family for Christmas. However, I was too weak to travel. Instead, Tom’s parents and my two nieces and nephew came up for a week after Christmas. It was so nice to see them and we especially loved having them here on New Year’s Eve.

Happy New Year!

While our family was up here, our niece Autumn, who knows a lot about dogs, found a puppy for us on Craigslist.

Meet Oliver, a Multipom. He’s just over two months old and is the cutest little thing.

Oliver loves to snuggle on laps and in his little bed. He also loves to eat our toes and anything that he can get his teeny tiny little mouth on. He sleeps in his crate at night and we are working on potty training him during the day.

Here he is, taking a nap on my lap while I’m sitting in the recliner.

The main thing I’m going to be doing with Oliver is snuggling with him. I picked him up and put him down way too many times the other day and because of that, my lower back is in so much pain. I woke up really early this morning and needed pain pills because it was hurting so bad. Lesson learned.

In medical news, I had chemo today. Tomorrow I go in for a bone scan. I go in at 11 am for an injection and then I go back at 2 for the actual scan. Other than that, I have chemo and whatever side effects come my way as we await my next CT scan at the beginning of February. That will tell us if the chemo is still working.

Please pray we continue to stay healthy and for strength to do things day by day as we need to.

Happy New Year!
