Don’t you love it when you go to a Dr. appointment that you thought was going to be long and have it be really short?
That was my appointment today.
My Oncologist thought it would be a good idea to get a baseline Bone Density test done, so today was the day. I made the appointment in Covington and the office was .3 miles away from the gym. Nice! I was only able to enjoy the “fire” in the waiting room for a few minutes before I was called back.
I was told on the phone to allow an hour for the appointment, but I was out of the office after 20 minutes, including checking in and filling out paperwork! Woohoo!
The scan itself is very exciting. She lined me up a couple times and I laid still while the DEXA machine scanned my hips. That was it. Very uneventful. I love uneventful appointments!
Even the machine used for the scan is boring looking compared to other scanning machines.
Tomorrow, I meet with the Plastic Surgeon again for my pre-op appointment.
So far no depression since I’ve started the hormone blocking pill again.. The last couple times it has started around 2 weeks and been really horrible around 2 1/2 weeks. It’s been 2 weeks and almost 2 1/2. I am so thankful!!

I’ve had appointments like that. Where everything is going smoothly and quickly; even the parking spot is not only close to the entrance but I didn’t have to drive all through the parking structure to find it. God’s tender mercies! I’m so glad your appointment went well and that you are not feeling any depression. Prayers will continue on all fronts. Have a blessed week.
