We drained the fluid from around my lung at home this morning for the first time with the Pluerex Catheter. It was quick and easy to do. We drained 900ml after just 4 days. That was a lot more than we expected. I feel much better after that!
Chemo was quick and went well today. Nothing new to report.
We are doing ok, but we are all feeling a bit down around here. I’m very discouraged and very tired of all this cancer stuff. I miss life and friends as normal. I hate COVID. But even without COVID, I would be home all the time not seeing many people because of cancer. It’s lonely and the pandemic makes it worse, for all of us. Anyways, if you could pray for that as well, I would appreciate it.
Glad your chemo went well today and that you got relief from draining the fluid at home! will also pray about the “low” feelings with everything you and your family are dealing with… like you said, it wouldn’t be easy without COVID and with COVID just makes it that much harder… love and hugs to you friend!
Prayers and love to all of you
Jennifer, I pray for you and your family. I am going to Donna’s tomorrow and hope to get a perm. My husband will join up on Wednesday.
Prayers continue on all fronts. Glad that you are feeling better.
Love,
Jan
I’m awfully sorry for the dampened spirits. It is completely understandable! Perhaps you can arrange with friends to come by and visit out on the driveway at a distance? That’s what I have done. We set up our lawn chairs at least 6 ft across from one another, wearing masks. I feel very safe that way. I am relieved that you can now drain the fluid yourself so you don’t have to trek to the hospital each time. I am keeping you all in my prayers and sending you lots of cyber hugs!

Constantly lifting you and the family up Jennifer. Your transparency about your feelings help us know how to pray! In Christ our strength and peace, Bobbie
Glad the tube worked. I can’t imaging what it is like with both going on at the same time. I want to assure you that I am praying for all of you.
Dear Jennifer, I’m praying for your needs and trust with you that our faithful Lord will answer in His will. I’m glad to hear that you’re now able to do some procedures at home and that it brings swift relief. I’m praying also for your family this week of Thanksgiving and trust it will bring blessing and joy to your heart. ❤ In His Love, Sandi
Happy for you that the chemo went well today and that you are having success with the catheter and that process. Don’t have emoji’s on this so just imagine that I am sending you the praying hands, and the BIG HUGS emojis AND much love..
Praying that you and your family will be lifted spiritually and emotionally by the presence of our loving Father God. You are loved, prayed for and supported by so many. COVID is terrible but it seems to have allowed you all to spend a lot more time together as a family. I think that’s the only positive spin I can put on this horrible pandemic. Praying you will all feel His love deeply. ❤️
I’m glad you’re feeling better have the drainage. Certainly will pray for God to lift your spirits! He can do so in such creative way!❤️
Prayers coming your way . Hoping you, Tom and your beautiful girls have a blessed Thanksgiving .
I’m glad that you were able to get the relief from the draining in such an easier fashion. You’re fighting such a long term battle…it takes it’s toll and you all are impacted…I’m still so very sorry for you all in this, but I know that even the difficulties in life come through the gentle hands of the Lord…He loves you and His plan for you is perfect. It will never be how we would design our lives, as we see so imperfectly. I pray that the eyes of your spirits (all of you) will be open to see His work this week, as you thank Him for His work in your lives…everything in our lives, past salvation, is “gravy”, in my opinion…some times we’d like more gravy, but I know that, in Eternity, it won’t have mattered how much gravy we get here on earth. Love you all and am praying for you! May His grace be sufficient, as He promised it to us for such a time as you are in!! Love, your port sister.
Absolutely praying for you! I know the Rona is so oppressive in so many lives. It’s amazing how many people are just ignoring it. Hope your days get more content as we get into advent and rejoice in the birth of our Savior.
