Well, the title says a lot.
I don’t like the Arimidex I’m on.
My body hurts most of the time. 🙁
I sent a message to the Dr. and he had a few other suggestions besides what I was already doing. The main one he suggested was exercise – quite a bit more than I was planning on. He said that studies have shown it helps.
So…the gym is now on my calendar. If you need me between 8:45 am – 10 am on weekdays (except on Thursday) you can find me at the gym (or in the car heading there). I really hope it helps.
Tom suggested taking two Ibuprofen and 2 Tylenol at the same time and that has helped as well. I took it to help me get through a meeting today and also right before the girls got home so I could get the through the night easier. I also have the option of Tramadol, but I don’t like the side effects from it. I think I’d rather be in pain.
It’s not the worst pain I’ve been in. But I would rather live without it. We’ll discuss it more with the Dr. on the 20th at the appointment. But for now, I’ll try more exercise. I bought some new pants to wear to the gym, so maybe that will help motivate me to go…
Bummer! Major bummer! I do hope and pray the doctor has other options. Estrogen supressing meds are just no fun. 🙁
Praying the pain subsides with exercise and time or they come up with something better. Pain can be mentally & physically exhausting.
I’ll keeping holding you up in my prayers, Jennifer. I’m so sorry, I know it’s got to be tough to stay positive knowing that you need to take if for the next 10 years. Hugs my friend. I love you!
Praying with you the exercise will help lesson the pain greatly and give you more energy.
Your blog in wonderful Jennifer. I’m so happy I was informed you had one. I’m a breast cancer survivor too, and my heart goes out to you as you take this journey. Isn’t it wonderful to walk this road with the Lord close to you. He really is our strength in times of need. I will be following you from this time out, and know already you are going to be an inspiration. Thanks and prayers.
I’m sorry to hear you’re dealing with the Arimidex issues. I had the same ones when I was on it. After I talked to the doc, he transitioned me to Tamoxifen but I had already tried Aromasin first. Maybe your doctor can find one that works better without the side effects. I sure hope so! Love and prayers, Bonnie
I do pray that you can get a different med, the exercise will help along with your new pants (!), and the two Ibuprofen and Tylenol sound good. Check with your doctor on the combo and how often you can take it. I have a friend you has a sleeping med that she takes when she can’t sleep or needs to sleep. It works really well for her with NO side effects. I will find out the name. The frustration of conquering one challenge and then another pops up makes me want to scream for you!! You are strong and so is our Savior. Hang tight and you know He will give you what you need. You said months ago…”taking one day at a time”. We all need to live like that. HE IS YOUR ROCK!! I would love to see you but besides coming home with a cold, due to the plane ride with a cold, I really have very little hearing. I have been to Urgent Care and now an ENT dr. I am on nose sprays and praying that my estuation tubes clear up before the dr. suggests “tubes” which is harder on adults than kids. Anxious to talk to everyone about their new school year. Please give them a hug for me and one for yourself. God loves you and so do I!!
