I’m looking forward to having a relaxing weekend as this next week is going to be busy!

Saturday, I get to have another COVID test. Hooray! Those are so much fun!!

Monday is chemo.

Tuesday, I will have the fluid around my right lung drained again, but this time they will leave a drain in. It will either be connected to a bulb like thing and drain all the time, or it will be capped off and drained when needed into a vacuum type bottle. I’m not sure which of these it will be. Either way, I hope and pray the chemo will work quickly and the fluid will stop collecting there. They be making me pretty drowsy for this procedure, so it will be a longer appointment. Please pray they can access my port if they need to do an IV and if not, please pray they don’t have trouble finding a vein. I’m not allowed to have anything to eat or drink after 4:30 am, which will make that even harder. I’ll take a small sip of water to take pills, but that’s it.

Between the appointments on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, I have no idea how I’m going to be feeling! So lots of relaxing is scheduled for the end of the week.

Please pray for Tom as he juggles work with all of this and for the girls as they finish up their first quarter of school this week in the midst of Tom and I being gone for appointments. (Speaking of school – they’ve had a GREAT first quarter and we are so proud of them! I know they miss their friends and being at school, but personally, Tom and I are very thankful for remote learning as we get to see them more. Our district is doing an amazing job with teaching remotely. I’m so thankful for where we live…the only thing that is missing is family next door, or at least in the same city.)
