I was able to sleep some last night since the pain was under control. I can stay on these pain meds for a while until we figure out what is going on with my back.
My blood pressure was low so they are giving me some fluids as my infusion appointment this morning.
The nurse coordinator for the infusion center has a child the same age as Ashley and I have known her since the girls were in kindergarten. Today my room was right across from her office. She saw me and came in and we talked for about a half an hour. She held my hand and cried with me. It was so nice to talk and hold hands with someone. I miss hugs and hand squeezes from friends ❤️. (I get lots of them from my family. ❤️)
Tom is able to go with me to my orthapedic Dr. apt. tomorrow at 2. I think he will order an MRI of that area, buy we’ll wait and see. Something has definitely changed in my back and that is scarry to think about.
I am very tired….partly from not sleeping well and partly from the meds. I am looking forward to resting when I get home from the infusion center today.
Sorry if there are a lot of typos. I’m pretty groggy….
I am so glad your pain is under control today, and praise for hand holding and someone to cry with. Those times are important!
I continue to pray for you, and love you so much.
I saw this in my Bible study and had to share, b/c this is how I envision your prayer warriors.
As we approach Pentecost this Sunday, this is from ACTS 1:12-14. THEY CONTINUED STEADFASTLY IN PRAYER
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mountain called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey away. 13 When they had come in, they went up into the upper room, where they were staying; that is Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James. 14 All these with one accord continued steadfastly in prayer (Greek: proskarterountes homothumadon te proseuche—devoting themselves with one mind to prayer) and supplication, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
I continue steadfastly in prayer.
Love you,
Laura
Recently, thoughts of your struggle and current trial come to my mind often during the day. I’m praying for each of your needs and the needs of your precious family. May you be granted physical strength, emotional peace and grow spiritually closer to our merciful Lord as He answers the prayers from believers on your behalf In His Love ❤
I’m so glad you have some relief from the pain. And that you got to sit, talk, cry, and touch someone else. These days it certainly is the simple things that can give us joy.
I love you Jennifer. Praying for you, Tom, and the girls.
Thank you Lord that Jennifer slept a bit last night. Praying she can sleep some more again tonight. Such a blessing you were able to hold a friend’s hand. I too miss hugs and friends at church. I’m happy Tom will be going with you to the doctors tomorrow. Praying the source of your back pain is revealed and resolution is possible. Praying for you and your family, may you all rest well tonight. Love and prayers, Nancy
