Another chemo is over. It was uneventful, which I’m thankful for. I rested most of the day afterward, but did get up in the evening to spend time as a family. The neuropathy has spread to my feet. It’s not very bad, and not constant like my hands, but they do occasionally tingle and the tips of my toes and toenails are tender.

I’m thankful for a little bit of energy Wednesday night to play flashlight Capture the Flag and Sardines as a family.
My friend Sarah from college is here for 4 days and has been such a big help. Currently she is spot cleaning the carpet all throughout our home because it hurts my hands to do it (and it’s driving me crazy). Bless her!! We have a few other cleaning projects on the list today and then tomorrow, for her last day here, we are off to meet friends at the Science Center. Hoping I have enough energy to make it through that. 🙂
On another note, my hair is growing back, as you can see from the picture above. It never totally went away in my head. It was a little spotty for a few weeks early in the year, but I always had a little fuzz. Last week our 6 year pointed out I had hair under my arms., That’s a funny thing to hear from your child. But sure enough, I got to shave under my arms. Who knew I would ever be excited about doing that? Haha!
It’s nice to see the end of this treatment coming up. It’s a lot easier to get through the hard days when you can see the end quickly approaching. I’m so thankful for that!!
Not much else to report today . . .
As you pray for our family, please pray for:
- The neuropathy to not get worse in my feet
- Energy to get through the last 2 chemo treatments
- Wisdom for Tom during training for a new restaurant opening
So much to be thankful for . . .
Glad the treatments will be ending soon. In my prayers. My new email is. Karynbarnes55@gmail.com
I’m so happy to be here with you and the girls. I’ll gladly clean carpets (and bathroom grout ) to ease your mind. The best part has been getting to just sit and talk with you. It really is the simple things. Xoxo
Jennifer, I know what you are going thru with neuropathy. I have had it for a few years and now I am on meds to help with some of the symptoms.
I continue to pray for you and your family. If I can help you in anyway, please let me know.
Is next week your last chemo?
I have info on a cleaning service who help people with cancer…no cost of any kind. They clean your house, change sheets, do laundry or anything you need. Would you like me to check it out for you. This organization is all 50 states.
We love you and pray for you everyday.
It so nice to hear that your college friend is there with you, I am sure the help is greatly appreciated. It has been a long trip for you, nice to hear its the chemo is almost over. We pray for you that your last trips for chemo will spare you any problems. Praying for Tom that his new restaurant opening will be a incredible day. God bless you all.
