The beginning of a new year…a fresh start…I always love the start of a new year. I love looking back on the past year and looking ahead to what is coming (most years at least).
I am about 5 or 6 weeks post surgery and the scars have healed very nicely. I am looking forward to getting “released” from the plastic surgeon soon so I can get back to regular exercising!
It’s been 6 weeks since I started Aromasin again, (the hormone blocking pill) and it’s been about 7 weeks that I’ve been on a very high dose of vitamin D. I am VERY HAPPY to report that I have no bone pain or other side effects! There are days that I’m pretty uncomfortable at the end of the day, but I can pinpoint it to being very active and not being able to exercise much because of post surgery limitations. In the past, the pain would come out of nowhere! I am so thankful we seem to have found the problem!! Praise God!! I look forward to following up with my oncologist in February and not reporting any problems!!
There are still times where worry pops in my head. I wonder why my treatment worked so well, while other people’s didn’t. I have seen people diagnosed with cancer after me who have passed away, which brings a wave of emotions, but also thankfulness to God for another day with my family. I have been blessed to talk with a few people who have joined the horrible “cancer club” and am thankful for the chance to do so, as others did for me when I was first diagnosed.
Until next time…
Your news is SUPER!! GOD IS ON THE THRONE!!!
Bless you, Jennifer, for counting your blessings! Don’t ponder too longer on the ‘whys’ and ‘how come’, for they will veer you off the peaceful path. Rejoicing along with you for all that lies ahead and a ‘healed’ body! I too love New Years because that was the day I gave my life to Christ in 1991. So every new year I thank Him and entrust my life again for only in Him do I truly live.

That is such great news. Hope we all stay well
this year with no problems. We are so blessed that all is looking so much brighter for you and the family. Thank you Jesus.
Such good news! God is so very good all the time and it blesses my heart to hear such positive reports. Those waves of emotions I feel will be with us forever and always draw me to a place of thankfulness to God for His amazing blessings to me and my family. He has truly used you to help others as you have been on this journey. God love you and yours❤️
Thank you Jennifer for sharing. You are such an encouragement to others as you are learning to lean on Jesus and trust Him daily thru very difficult situations. I know I worry too, at times excessively, and God is constantly reminding me to trust Him with everything. It stems from our deep concern, love and compassion for those that are close to us. God will take care of you, Jen, and those you love. So thankful to hear you are doing well!
