My stomach is slowly settling down and feeling better today, which I’m thankful for. However, the pain all over my body has been horrible. I hardly slept at all last night. Right now I’m regretting switching over to the fentanyl patch as this pain is much worse than I was having before.
This morning we called the oncologist on-call and found out how many more fast-acting pain pills I could take. I’m taking four every 4 hours and that takes the edge off the pain. It’s still there but it is more tolerable.
She said that either my body is not fully adjusted to the pain patch and is not getting the right amount of medication yet, or it’s too low of a dose. I will message my doctor tomorrow so I can talk to him on Monday.
I think last night might have been the worst pain I have ever been in. I don’t understand how I can be in this much pain with all of the pain medicine I have in my body.
Thank you for everyone who has been praying and who has reached out. Sorry if my answers have been short or non-existent.
I have cried out to the Lord so many times in the past few days for relief, for peace, or to just take me Home because I’m so tired of hurting. I still trust in His plan, but I’m currently not enjoying it very much.
Continued prayers, dear friend.
I love you!
Jennifer, I will continue to pray for your pain relief. My heart breaks knowing the pain you’re experiencing. Prayers that you may rest peacefully tonight and quickly get continued relief

I continue to pray. I don’t understand about the patch, it helped my wife so much. I will be praying that you get the right balance.
Dear Heavenly Father, please hear our prayers for Jennifer. Show her your kindness and gentle mercy. Show her oncologist the exact prescription for the best pain management for her ASAP! Bring her the relief she’s been crying out for in Jesus name amen.
Lord Jesus, we don’t know exactly what to pray for Jen, but you know her needs and you know our hearts. Please, Father, meet her needs according to Your perfect will for her life. Help her to trust You for relief and please give the doctors wisdom to know how best to help her. Father, we don’t understand how or why you allow your beloved children to participate in the fellowship of Your sufferings, but we know You provide the grace and strength to endure every trial You allow into our lives. Father, we are frail, weak human beings. Your ways are not our ways. Please help us in our weaknesses and we ask specifically that You would allow our love and prayers to undergird Jen and help provide encouragement and hope. She has been such a brave warrior. She has shared openly and freely, allowing others to enter into her cancer journey. Let her life and testimony honor and glorify You. And we’ll give You all the praise and glory. In Your precious name we pray and ask all these things, Amen
Dear Jennifer – While there is still time, I wanted to thank you for bringing all of us with you on your journey for the past five years. We have rejoiced with you when there were victories and wept with you when the outcome was not what we were hoping and praying for. You will never know how many people have been impacted by your life – people who now have cancer or are going through it with a loved one. You have given all of us a “Window” on the realities and the very practical things to do in order survive the daily routine of life with cancer. More importantly, you have displayed your trust and faith in our Sovereign, Almighty Creator God in an amazing way. Thank you, dear heart, for allowing us to walk this journey with you. We love you and your family and continue to ask for the Lord’s peace & comfort to rest gently on all of you.
Our prayers continue to be with you and your family. I cannot imagine the pain as you say it is. Praying that the doctor will have the right advise for you to ease this pain.
Oh dear friend, we are praying earnestly for you daily that they will get the right pain relief med for your body and that you will be able to sleep well. Much love, Chuck and Bobbie
