Saturday was a great day! Not only did I survive the Science Center birthday celebration (woohoo!), I was able to sit down with our youngest and share the gospel with her, yet again. This time, she accepted the Lord as her Savior!!
Yep! Great day indeed!!
I had been praying that God will give me the perfect time and conversation starter to talk with just her. This morning, the conversation started out by talking about the death of my Aunt’s mother, which lead to talking about my Mom and heaven, which was the perfect intro to the conversation.
I have had the privilege of leading each of our girls to the Lord, and am so thankful for that! (And to see Tom’s response when we told him and the look on her face in seeing his response was a moment I will never forget.) I pray there will be many times I will be able to share the gospel with them in our day to day activities. I know there are times I miss the chance and I just don’t want that to happen!
Today, I am thankful for:
- no pain
- friends and family who will stop what they are doing and immediately pray when I am struggling
- the safe arrival of my friend’s baby boy late last night
If you are on Facebook, I’ve been writing quick updates on my blog page if you’d like to follow me on there. It won’t replace the blog, but it’s a great way to get updates out fast!
If there is something specific I can pray for you, please email me and let me know!
Oh golly, tears of joy over here! What a beautiful and special moment to spend with your baby!! And one with ETERNAL implications. Praise the Lord!!
Praise the Lord! So happy that God gave you the opportunity and that you took it!
Jennifer, I am so glad that you had a great time at your daughter’s birthday and what a blessing to be able to share the gospel with your children. Praise God for the salvation of your youngest daughter. We are rejoicing with you! We continue to lift you and your families needs up the our loving Lord. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord. Psalm31:24.
What a blessing! To be able to share the gospel with your youngest daughter. How old is she? And to have her accept Him as her Lord and Savior with understanding is truly a God given gift. I’ve been only been born again since 2004 and it seems I learn new lessons daily. One of my favorites was when I learned and understood that “faith is a Divine gift from God.” In other words, nothing we have done ourselves. To be this close with our Heavenly Father is like nothing else.
I try always to remember you in prayer on Wednesdays, I have bible study that night, when I know you’re having chemo. May God continue to give you strength and courage during this journey. Blessings and prayers.
Thank you Nancy. Our salvation is a gift from God, one that none of us deserve. What an amazing gift it is!! Thank you for the encouragement this morning. 🙂
An amazing day indeed. So much to be thankful for. Holding you up in prayer tonight and will do so all day tomorrow. Xoxo

Randy and I talked and prayed for your Saturday outing and hoping you could celebrate with your daughter and family without struggling through the day. YEA! Your daughter coming to the Lord is the best gift she, and you, could ever receive. A day to remember for sure. Thanking the Lord! Please call me if you need help today, Monday. May you feel the Lord’s presence today.
Praise the Lord. I was also able to lead our children to the Lord; such a privilege to share the free gift and God’s grace and lead a child to the Lord. What an exciting time for her, you,and Tom. You and Tom have always been showing your girls and being examples of Godly parents. I am praying that all the girls will have peace during the storm. I am also praying for peace for you and Tom too. We love you and pray for all of you everyday.
Jennifer our prayers are coming your way. We pray everyday for you. God Bless you ,Tom and the girls.
Hi Jennifer!! I am so so glad you got to enjoy your daughter’s birthday!! But the “icing on the cake” is that you had the privilege of leading her to the Lord!! How AWESOME!!! When I found out I had cancer, my 1st grandchild accepted the Lord!! That was worth the diagnosis!! Nothing better than knowing your loved ones are a child of God and have a home in Heaven, that you both will one day share together!! Right now we have a foot of snow on the ground and it is expected to continue till this evening. Wind gusts are 50 miles an hour and it’s causing major drifts!! Be praying for you, especially Monday and Wednesday. May God strengthen you, physically and spiritually and comfort you in time of pain. There is truth in the saying “no pain, no gain.” Sending you lots of HUGS Jennifer!! Love, Karen
