I know I haven’t posted in a few days. But good news . . . nothing much to report. I’m still feeling pretty good. I get tired easily, can’t go back to sleep if I wake up early, am dealing with an infection of the feminine kind, have a headache, but that’s it. Nothing exciting to share! Yay!!
This weekend we enjoyed (well not really) trick-or-treating in the pouring rain with the girls. Tom did a bunch of cleaning. Christy and I purged a bunch of junk from the playroom and closets today. And I’ve starting thinking about this next round of chemo coming on Wednesday.
These past two weeks have been nothing like I thought they would be. I am so grateful for how well my body has handled the chemo so far. I’m trying not to worry about Wed. and the week to come as the poison enters my body again to kill the cancer and as I lose my hair. 🙁
Tomorrow I go in for my labs. Then 8:30 on Wed. for Chemo and in again on Thursday for a while blood cell booster shot.
This week as you pray, would you pray that my body will continue to handle the chemo well and for peace for me as I think about losing my hair (and for the girls and Tom as they see me go through that). Please continue to pray for Tom as he figures out how to work from home (and Starbucks) and for a smooth menu roll-out for 6 of his restaurants on Thursday. Please also pray for our 6 year who has a cold and isn’t able to cuddle with me while she has it. Of all our girls, she is the one who gets sick the most and seems to always have a cold.
UPDATE 7:41 pm – Headache has gotten worse throughout the day. Please pray Tylenol PM will help. Our 6 year old’s cough seems to have gotten worse as well. Please pray it doesn’t trigger her asthma. Thankful Judy is here to take care of the girls while I rest in bed.
Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”
Praying for you. Praying for your body and its strength, for your husband and his work, for your sweet little sick girl, and for your thoughts. Praying to God for His peace and His comfort and His abiding. Love you friend.
Thank you friend. And FYI, I think the house across the street from us is going to be on the market soon… 🙂
. . .and maybe even two more down the street. It’s a sign that we need to be neighbors again!!!
Lifting you and your family up in pray this morning. Peace be with you.
Thanks Tammy. 🙂
Hi Jennifer,
I have been reading your blog since I first heard about your illness and I am touched by your strength and positive attitude.Perhaps you don’t remember me. I was good friends of your mom and dad and part of the quartet that your mom was in. Maybe you have the CD we made before you sweet mom went home to be with the Lord. Please know that Alex and I are praying daily for you, your family, and your dad. I spoke with him last Sunday at church. We are here for him if he needs anything. If you don’t mind, I would like to get your address.Thank you.
Love,Jan
Of course I remember you. Thanks for praying for us and checking in on my Dad. 🙂 I’ll send you an email with my address.
Thinking of you. Praying for you and the family. Praying God will help you get throught another leg of chemo with out sickness. God bless you, Tom and the girls.
Thank you Pat. 🙂
Jennifer, I praise the Lord that you are having an easier time than expected with the chemo. We continue to pray for that and will keep Tom and the girls covered as well. Wish we could be there to help out. This is one of those times we wished we lived next door:) But I know God has provided for you in so many ways. Love to you all.
Miss you and your family Mary! I think you need a Seattle vacation soon!
