Hello!! I’m still here and had my 3 month checkup with my oncologist today.
The biggest thing we talked about was the peripheral neuropathy I am struggling with. I’ve been trying some different things here at home to get some pain relief, but have had no luck. He had a few more ideas. For more on what I’m doing about this, you can click here. I gave it it’s own page because I know so many people who suffer from it!
Coming up in the next 3-4 months I will be having another bone strengthening infusion, a CT scan to make sure the cancer has not returned and a bone density test.
I’m still on the new plan with my hormone blocking pill to take one until I get side effects and then switch to another one until I get side effects….we’ll see how that goes. 🙂
Other than some mild fatigue and constantly working to keep back pain away, I’m doing pretty good. We have had a busy, but good summer!
Though this journey, I am thankful that friends and family check in on me occasionally and make sure I’m doing OK. I am thankful for encouraging notes that I still get in the mail every month. I am thankful for those praying for my health as it comes to their mind. But most of all, I’m thankful for the Lord and that He is ALWAYS with me. I am truly never alone!
Hi Jennifer❣
So nice to get an update and hear how things are going. Glad your having a good summer.Thankful for all the people who are working to help you.
Take Care
Hi Jennifer! I always enjoy reading your updates. Keeping you in my daily prayers, as always. Sorry I missed seeing you when you were in So Cal, I know you were busy and we were gone a lot of the same time. Love you, dear friend!!
Jen I am so sorry about the neuropathy. I saw all the work you did at your dads. I miss you we moved so I’m not in contact much. Dr ordered a CT inJune And insurance refused it. I see a new Dr on Monday and then I’m sure he’ll refer me to oncologist. Take of yourself and keep posting so I can stay up to date. I love you Jennifer
I’m so glad to read your update. I’ve been praying for you and wondering how you’ve been doing. I love you continued positivity through every challenge and change. May God continue to use your testimony for His glory and may your new treatment plan for neuropathy work better than expected! Much love, Bonnie
Hi Jennifer,
We should have talked when you were at my home.
I have severe neuropathy, from connective tissue disease, Lupus,
and COPD and kidney failure. The pain is. Always there as you know.
I am praying for you all the time.
Bless your beautiful family.
Love and Prayers, Aunt Sharon
Hi Jennifer. Miss seeing you. I hope this fall we can get together when I come to Maple Valley…or if you want to come see me in Bonney Lake!??
So so sorry you are struggling. You surely are doing your best to conquer this newest pain. I will check with my friend who has neuropathy also. Your faith and strength is amazing. You have our prayers, Randy reads, too, and we always pray for you to draw on God to meet your daily needs and then some. He is a mighty loving God and you are right…you are never along. Much love and many hugs to you and your family.
Read your blog….I understand what you are experiencing. I tried Lyrica and it made me crazy. A lot of side affects. I would not recommend that medication.
I take gabenpanten (spelling wrong) it works most of the time, but I need to take it three times a day to work. The pain continues, just not as bad as it used to be….hang in there~ Praying for you. If you find a remedy that works, please let me know so I can try it out.
Love you
