I met with my Oncologist today for a quick check-up. He moved my bone strengthening infusion to every 3 months instead of every 6 weeks and I will be having a PET scan on October 4th (about a year from my last one).
So far, no pain with this new pill, but I am having some fatigue. I thought I was just tired from summer, but when I rest, or even when I get up in the morning, I’m still tired and feeling a little week. The Dr. ordered a blood test to check my iron level and thyroid and they came back normal. So we are going to see how the fatigue plays out in the next month or so.
I also had an infusion today. Very uneventful, which is the way I like it. I got to visit with Toni, one of my favorite nurses there, and the nurse I was assigned to was actually a parent of one of our youngest daughter’s friends from kindergarten, so that was fun. 🙂
Other than that, I’m just trying to survive the last couple weeks of summer. 🙂
So happy the pill is working. Though you were looking for a reason for the fatigue, it is great that your thyroid and iron levels are normal. Also, very happy that your infusion when so well. Maybe that will help with the fatigue, yes? no? You have had a great summer! Many fun things and great memories. I remember being ready for school to start!! Usually the kids were, too! Our weather has been amazing! Hopefully I see you before we move. We have an offer on the house! Take care, God bless, think of you often and continued prayers for you physically, mentally and spiritually. Hugs!
