Yes…I’m writing about my hair again.
The girls and I just got back from the hair salon and every time I leave there, I’m sad because I miss my longer hair. I just saw a picture of myself in my wig the other day and actually thought about wearing it again. I just love that style so much more than the short pixie look I’m sporting right now.
I talked with the stylist again about growing it out, but I just really don’t want to deal with the horrible growing out phase, which will take so long. I’d like to grow my hair out and style it like my wig…maybe I’ll wear the wig during that time. I have no idea. But I know that I’m sad.
And look at my beautiful girls! I’m jealous of their hair! I can’t help it. I miss being able to style my hair.
I used to love going to the salon, but it’s just not the same any more. As I’m sharing all this with the girls in the car, my oldest is so sweet and actually loves my hair style. She even tried encouraging me by telling me how many famous people have pixie hair cuts. 🙂 Someone at church, who I’ve talked to before but of course can’t remember her name, told me this morning that I still have the best hair cut of anyone in the church. I wish I could feel that same way.
Well enough complaining. I do have good news too.
My body is feeling better and has not ached the last few days. The only thing that is different is that I’ve been back at the gym (and eaten too much dessert – but that’s probably not why I’m feeling better). So I can only think that exercise is helping. I’m not sure how that’s going to play out on our busy two week vacation coming up, but hopefully I can keep it up. 🙂 I really like not having my body throb all day long. 🙂
Your little girls are adorable. So nice that you are not aching!! Prayers for you and your hair.
Thank you Stella! Merry Christmas!
The girls are adorable as usual. I know hair is a very personal thing but I think your hair looks nice on you also even if it isn’t the same as you’re used to it does look nice. Can they put some highlights in your hair and maybe that would make it fun for you?
Praise for your ache free body. Pray it stays that way.
Lord bless your family time together.
Merry Christmas to all of you!
Thank you Tammy. Merry Christmas to you and your family too!
I totally get the hair thing. Totally! And 1 year after my last cancer treatment, my hair is changing again and I have no clue what to do with it. So, just when you get used to it, your hair might change how it grows in. Personally, I think God is using my lack of appreciation for the hair He’s giving me to further teach me that I need to trust Him in all things, even my hair. So, try to look at the hair thing as another opportunity to trust in our Lord. We can pray for each other, in the meantime, God will give us wisdom on what to do with our locks of love.
I keep finding gray hairs too…and I keep pulling them out. Oh hair…at least it takes less time to do each morning when it’s shorte3r, right??? 🙂 Merry Christmas Barbara!
Understand your thoughts about your hair. It is cute now but will understand your decision. Your girls are so precious in their new doos. Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you too Patty!
Glad for the update and you heart sharing, so we know how to pray. Hairis important to us girls, seems like it might be a good idea to go with what you’d like to have, with a wig while it grows, just a thought. Praying with you.
Thank you Bobbie. Merry Christmas!
I have never liked my hair!! Never been thick enough and so it has always been a lot of back combing and spraying!! And still not happy! But when I see people that have no hair and can guess as to why, how grateful I am to have any hair at all!! Even thin and straight! Jennifer, you really do where your style well. You never need to worry about it looking bad. But I understand that if you don’t like it nothing anyone says will change that! Good luck with your decision. SO GLAD to hear you have felt better. I am proud you are at the gym. That can be a hard thing even when you feel good. Working out has got to be a positive thing to do for many reasons. Truly wishing your family a wonderful vacation and the best Christmas you have ever had. God bless your “2017”. BLESSED HOLIDAY WISHES!
HE IS YOUR ROCK!!
Miss you!! It’s been so long since we’ve seen you! After the first of the year we need to get together!!!! Merry Christmas!
You should probably keep eating lots of dessert, though… Just to be safe! 😉
And your short hair is so stylish and beautiful! I get that it’s not how you see yourself, though. Wearing the wig while you transition it is a great idea! And growing out a pixie only has a few short awkward phases. Mostly it’s just time and a lot of anticipation! For the most part, it’s not that bad (been there, done that!). Miss you, sweet friend! Enjoy your vacation!!! Yeaaaaaaah!
Haha – I’ve been doing a really great job at keeping up with the dessert! Yay for Christmas cookies!!
Merry Christmas Jennifer! Praying you and your family have a fun and blessed Christmas. God is so good!
Love,
Jan
Your daughter’s are darling. I love the color of your dark brown hair. Very nice. Blessings, Carol Moser
