I guess I can’t complain since all but my first bone strengthening infusion have not caused any side effects.  But this last one was different.

I’m not sure why.

My port was a little uncomfortable after they accessed it, but it was working great so I didn’t say anything.  (Last time I did say something, they did an x-ray and it was this whole big thing…for no reason.)  My labs came back great.  I felt fine during the infusion.

The next couple days were hard.  You would think I would be used to aching and having zero energy, but I guess I have gotten used to feeling good again, because I was kind of upset that I didn’t feel good. 🙂

The girls were helpful and I laid in bed for a few hours Thursday evening.  Fortunately we can practice spelling and read on the bed.  🙂  Friday, I had to just push through since we had a few things planned.  The weekend was a little better, but still not great.

I’m going to have to really think about what was different.  The only thing I can think of is that I didn’t take Claritin the day before…but I can’t remember if I have done that in the past or just taken it that day and the couple days after.  Grrr.  Next time I will try the day before I guess.

In other news, I still have a little grossness (is that a word??) coming out of 1 incision.  It doesn’t hurt, but I am surprised that’s still happening after almost 2 weeks.  I am supposed to go the Dr. on Thursday…we’ll see if that actually happens with the 3-4 inches of snow predicted.  I’ve been very obedient and only been on the bike at the gym.  That was the only restriction he gave me.  I would love to get that restriction lifted soon!

In other, other news, a friend from college found me on Facebook yesterday and as I was reading her timeline, I found out she is fighting stage IV colon cancer.  Man, I hate cancer!!  It just makes me so sad to see pictures of someone else sitting in that stupid infusion chair with their post accessed.  Even if we look all put together in those pictures, it’s SO HARD!!  I’m thankful she knows the Lord and has a lot of support from her friends and family.
